I cycled to the Sal-crest Motel (250.357.9557) on Highway 3 in Salmo over Paulson (Bonaza) Pass 1535 meter (5036 feet).   Split statistics to Paulson pass: Distance: 59.31 km Time: 2:51:14 Average: 20.2 km/hr.   Grand Forks is at an elevation of 515 meter (1693 feet) so there was an elevation gain of 3343 feet to Castelgar, which is at an elevation of 433 meters (1421 feet).   I then cycled over Bombi Pass, 1214 meters (3983 feet), resulting in a elevation gain of 2562 feet. None of the elevation gains include any dips.  Thus the total elevation gain for this day was 5905 feet.
