The elevation gain used was from another person's bike trip records.

Kawkawa Lake Road to Othello Road is about a 15% Grade.   Othello road had some 11% sections.   The Coquihalla summit (pass) is only 4068 feet.   After the Coquihalla summitt there are basically two substantial hills, Larson Hill and then a nearly steady hill up to about 10 KM before Merritt.   I cycled to McDonald's (250.378.2170), at 3360 River Road, in Merritt.   via the first Merritt exit.   We stayed at the Merritt Motor Inn (250.378.9422), 3561 Voght St (Hwy 5a).   In the future I will take the second exit since it would be less distance and faster.
