The elevation gain is the minimum on paper calculation from lowest to highest point.  No dips are included.

I cycled from Vernon to McDonalds's in 1700 block of East Trans Canada Highway (Access road) in Kamploops.   I had a head wind for 1/3 of the way  It was quite cold in the mountains and this numbed my feet and resulted in a swollen big toe.  Due to this injury I stayed an additional day at the Courtesy Inn Motel in Kamloops.
