My dear friends and relatives.  It means the world to Hal, Michelle, Sonya and me that you have come to celebrate Lisa's life today.  Some of you have travelled long distances: Vancouver and the lower mainland, the Okanagan, and Alberta.  Heidi, a childhood friend since the age of one, came all the way from Toronto.  To everyone: thank you for your many acts of love showered upon us.

A mother, watching her children growing up, sometimes dreams of the special events yet to come.  I have dreamed and planned of what a wedding might look like for each of my daughters.  Today is the closest to a wedding we will ever have for Lisa.  Please linger and join us for refreshments, include a stranger in your conversation.  Lisa would have done that.  We grieve and our sad for ourselves.  But for Lisa's sake, please, allow yourself to be happy - if you feel like laughing - go for it.  All my love to each of you:
